After much deliberation and lots of sketching on my Rhodia Graph pad, I have finally decided on my design for my 2017 scrappy flying geese quilt!
I mentioned this quilt a while back after buying a new flying geese ruler and wanting to test it out. I had been thinking of digging through my scrap bins and my goal for 2017 was to use up as much of my scraps as possible. I have bins and bags full of them but no projects in mind at the time.
This quilt will feature scrappy low volume blocks. Each block will contain 4 HST's and 6 flying geese. The end result is an almost kaleidoscope-like quilt design. I have already written up a pattern and am excited to get this quilt made so I can show you all the finished product and release my quilt pattern!
Love the look with the low volume fabric. Can't wait to see the finish and the pattern.
