Amish Country Fabric Haul

Jan 15, 2020

Every January myself and a few friends take a trip to Ohio Amish Country for a big fabric shopping spree! I didn't take pics of every single shop, I was too caught up in the moment LOL, but I did snap a few and want to share them.

First, the top photo and next two photos are from Zinck's Fabric Outlet. It's a huge outlet store with lots and LOTS of variety. They've got every textile type you can dream up, and many bolts of long out of print cottons from major brands.

At Zinck's I took the opportunity to buy children's flannels for an upcoming charity project making pillow cases. I grabbed 5 yards for this project, knowing that they'll be coming into my sewing room and going right back out. It was an easy purchase even though I'm doing the 2020 Stash Buster Challenge, so I didn't feel too guilty about it.

At Mercantile on Main we found some Bonnie & Camille April Showers.. on bolts!! Such a rare sight in a quilt shop these days as it has been out of print for some time.

We visited ALOT of other shops that I didn't photograph like Miller's Dry Goods, The Plaid Sheep, Calico Cupboard, Paw Patch, and Somewhere Sewing, and a couple others.

Here's a picture of my full haul, out of everything I purchased only the Heather Ross, Mood Grunge, bag hardware, and 5 yards of SF101 are for me! Everything else is either for pillow cases donations, gifts, or our quilt guild swaps.

We got SO MANY good deals! A lot of shops we visited had anywhere from 20-50% off during our stay. It was the perfect time to visit!

Have you ever been to Ohio Amish Country?! It is chock full of fabric!
