Travel Outbound Bag

May 18, 2017

A couple days ago I finished this super rad Travel Outbound bag and shared on Instagram, so I thought id show some more photos here in a blog post along with my thoughts on the pattern and finished product.

First, this awesome pattern is written by Quarter Inch Mark, and you can purchase it here. It features two large zipper compartments connected by a gusset that provide a roomy 3" wide opening in between for more storage!

The Pattern

This is a well written and easy to understand pattern. The construction process is easy and the only thing one might find "difficult" is sewing on the gusset that connects the two pouches, then adding the bias binding (not everyone's forte) because its a somewhat narrow area.

The zipper pouches are super straight forward, so for anyone a little shy of zippers you could totally do this! Great photos of the steps are included.

I used a mix of Tula Pink Slow & Steady, Kate Spain Canyon, Cotton & Steel XOXO basics, and some Mochi Dot linen to make my pouch. Zippers are from ZipIt! as always :)

What fits inside?

This pouch is 10.5" long x 3" wide x 6.5" tall.

I made this specifically to use for vacation to Myrtle Beach this year. I plan to take my Urban Decay Naked makeup palettes, some brushes, foundation, sponges, etc. with me. It easily fits all those items but could also be used for EPP supplies, planners, notebooks, markers / pens, and more.

I REALLY love this bag. I cant wait to use it on vacation and I may even make myself another for some EPP work ;)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day :)
