Happy Wednesday! I'm popping in to show you a sweet little project I recently made featuring some brand new, and beautiful, fabric from the Stardust line by Flamingo Toes for Riley Blake Designs.
Stardust was designed by Beverley McCullough and includes antique gold sparkle accents throughout the line. There are beautiful florals, sweet little flamingos, clamshells and retro glasses. I particularly love the antique gold accents... they're subtle but still add depth and sparkle to the fabric that really makes it special.
For this project I chose to make a Drawstring Project Bag by Kandou Crafts. This bag is not only easy to make but also comes in three size options and is quite handy. I pulled a new Confetti Cotton Solid from Riley Blake Designs called Canyon Rose. It's a beautiful dusty rose that pairs perfectly with the deeper tones in the Stardust line.
I stitched the bag with a mustard Aurifil 50 weight, and attached the tag with this pretty pink 12 weight embroidery thread.
