Hello and welcome to my stop on the Patchwork Gifts Book Tour hosted by Elise Baek!
The Patchwork Gifts book is a brand new sewing tutorial book filled with projects to give and keep for everyone in your life. It has beautiful illustrations, photography, and clear instructions with templates available for some projects. I think you'll really love this book and the beautiful simplicity of everything found inside it!
My Project
I was honored to be asked by Elise to create something from her brand new book, and after looking through every project I decided I really wanted to make the Chevron Notebook Cover. For whatever reason, my eyes landed on this sweet little cover and I instantly new what fabrics & trim I'd use for the project.Details
I chose Tilda fabrics, essex linen, and this adorable mini pom pom trim that I had found on Etsy. The center panel for this Chevron Notebook Cover features a super simple piecing method (similar to paper piecing - stitch and flip) and was incredibly quick to put together.I sewed this notebook cover up within a couple hours and placed a simple composition notebook inside. This would be an amazing quick gift for teachers or coworkers that is easy but looks like so much time went into it. The attention to little details is really the key!
