Flower Garden Project Tour, Riley Blake Designs

 Welcome to the Flower Garden Project Tour! Im pleased to be showing off this beautiful new line by Echo Park Paper Co. for Riley Blake Designs and I hope you'll checkout the other stops on the tour as well!

The Project

I chose to make a quilted pillow cover from the Soft Spot book (Martingale Publishing). It finishes at 18" square and I chose some of my favorite prints from the Flower Garden line as well as select RBD basics to compliment the line.

Following the image below, the prints I chose (from left to right) are: Main Navy, Stems Coral, Daisy Yellow, Dots Green and Plaid Blue... all from the Flower Garden Line. The prints are incredible vibrant but also soft at the same time, if that makes any sense LOL. The main floral is my particular favorite.

This pillow is incredibly easy and quick to make. I used RBD Confetti Cotton Solids in Pina Colada for the main background and also throw in some Pin Dot and Cross Stitch basics.

My friend and longarmer Megan McCord (@sewcial_misfit on IG) quilted this panel in my favorite edge to edge pattern; feathers. I just think it is the most feminine and beautiful quilting pattern and it gives amazing texture to your projects. Megan has a hand guided long arm which makes the precision in her feathers even more impressive!

I really enjoyed making this pillow and I feel like it will be a go-to pattern for me in the future. It showcased this line so well. I feel that it has a nice Spring-like mood to it and the colors/prints were light and airy. Perfect!
